What Is The Craniosacral System
The Craniosacral System is an often-times overlooked or forgotten system when evaluating the health and wellness within a person. The structures that make up this system consist of the intra-cranial membranes that support and divide the brain into its respected parts. It also consists of the dural tube that rests inside your spine and goes all the way down to your tailbone, aka Coccyx. As you can imagine, this system is located in the most sensitive areas of perception and structure.
On a deep level, if there are any restrictions inhibiting the free-moving rhythm of the Craniosacral System, it can indeed trickle down back into the body, manifesting itself as conditions, dysfunctions, and diagnosis of various kinds. Restrictions located in the intra-cranial membrane system can manifest issues such as headaches, migranes, autism, ADHD, hormonal issues, insomnia, etc.
Restrictions located below the head can cause symptoms closest to their related parts. For example, restrictions on the ribs or tummy, might lead to IBS, or shallow breath, where restrictions on the chest could lead to short breath, heart palpatations, sometimes repeated illness.
If these restrictions make their way close to the spine, we might experience symptoms such as back pain or even worse, an overstimulation or chaotic use of energy in the respected areas, causing shut down or dysfunctions that might need the testing or care of a Doctor.
If conditions become mysterious in nature or if you have seen several specialists but nothing has worked, I highly recommend exploring how the Craniosacral System may be involved in the manifestation of any of these conditions that often times rob us of health, wellness, and happiness.
Book a session, slow down and begin holding compassion for yourself and others, as we have all overlooked this very important system. We can all take a moment to hold space for everyone that has been robbed of joyful experiences due to trauma of various forms. We can simultaneously hold space for the awareness that gentleness and patience can be practiced by us all and that sometimes, that is all anyone ever needed. That….is the language of the Craniosacral System.
